What We’ve Done
Taking leadership on a hotly debated topic
Qlik
Challenge
Qlik was looking to leverage their membership in Agora Club of CDOs, which they founded with industry partners.
OneChocolate saw this as a unique opportunity for journalists to meet Chief Data Officers (CDO) from French companies in order to better understand this new role, the job duties involved, and the organisations’ data strategy.
Solution
The meeting was planned with military precision and to ensure its smooth running, OneChocolate organised a press lunch in a prestigious restaurant near Champs-Elysées. There the journalists met with three CDOs from renowned French companies and members of the club, as well as a Qlik spokesperson in charge of the club’s activities, to discuss the role of a CDO and their typical responsibilities.
Results
Following the PR lunch, Qlik saw a substantial increase in their brand’s media presence. Significant interest was generated from both the business and IT media; the meeting attendance included six journalists, and the event enjoyed strong media coverage.
Les Echos Executives, Les Echos’s business edition, interviewed one of the spokespersons for their series of articles on data in the corporate world. MagIT and Best Practices SI, respectively, also published a featured article on the event. In addition, a follow-up interview was conducted with Usine Nouvelle.
