Challenge

Expedia, a global player in online travel, wanted to find an original and fun way to present the results of its very first study on the habits of the French in terms of winter holidays to the press. The challenge? To succeed in targeting the women’s press and to ensure the availability of journalists for an event organized in early December, just a few weeks before the end of year celebrations.

Approach

We invited the journalists to breakfast in a prestigious hotel near the Champs Élysées. In order to echo the theme of the study, we decided to play on the winter theme by decorating the room with a carpet of artificial snow and distributing pairs of iconic Moon Boots après-skis to journalists at the end of the event.

Results

Expedia met the challenge which, despite the tight schedule, obtained a good attendance rate for its press event and was able to present its study to 10 journalists from women’s press titles, including Biba, Ohmymag and Lifeandstyle.fr, as well as the daily newspaper 20 Minutes.
